Thread: The Best Little XSEED Thread: Now With 100% More Tutturu☆

  1. Thank you again, Sara. Not just for all the enhancements to Trails FC/SC, but also Catastrophe mode in Ys VI, etc.

Though I've bought the import of Xanadu Next, I'm going to Day One the XSEED localization as well.

  2. All that trouble and it still came out faster than a typical Working Designs translation job.

  3. Been enjoying Cold Steel. Like the other Trails games, the pacing is slow, particularly because the game wants you to talk to everyone you can after every event. It's a bit of a chore in many cases...except, of course when the Trails villager mini-storylines tickle your fancy. I don't talk to the fencing team in the hopes of an easily-missed sidequest/recipe/novella chapter. I talk to them because I care about their little story.

The pacing is also slow in that the games are designed to be multi-chapter, like a book series, so the downtime/lighthearted talking is more pronounced. Of course that's a plus once you've become invested.

So...yeah. This Trails games is totally a Trails game! That said I'm enjoying the combat and the increased customization options compared to Sky. The structure of the game has also helped keep the TALK TO EVERYONE AFTER EVERYTHING threshold below FUCK THIS, I'M OUT before my INVESTMENT meter maxed out. That said, it was pretty touch and go at the beginning there.

  4. I wish the neural pathways that would have allowed me to appreciate something like this hadn't been paved over by rap music and Internet pornography.

  6. Don't blame just the porn. Paradoxically, instant access to limitless knowledge is making us dumber.

I wonder if smarter people browse differently than dumber people? Like when I read Wikipedia I'll just right click open in a new tab links and continue to read the page I'm on. I'd on allow links to break my focus.

Though the data load destroying memory is totally real. I look like a dumbass in meetings all the time because people ask me for information on process data and I don't retain any of it. I might look at 500 to 1500 different data points in a day. My brain just doesn't log the average for one part of the process all licketty split. The inverse of that us I can find and use data faster than just about anyone here.

    Also: future shock the article.

We also seen this on tnl for like 15 years or more. We have people deeply offended by shit they barely understand nor can remember.

We even have the ssj. Effect, where you read the first sentence of a post, then read other people's reactions and then argue via the flow of the conversation and not against the orginal post. We've had people argue for 5 days, over shit that was never said.

Hell, 75% aren't even going to read all of that. You overloaded Web junkies.

  9. I kinda want to side with you on this, but if you can't be bothered to put the effort into making your posts readable, one can hardly be slighted for deciding not to put the effort into reading them.

What's not readable outside of the spelling errors?

Does everything need to condenced? Is that bad writing or a preference on the behalf of the reader?
