Double Fine did that for one of their prototypes. It was a Monster Hunter clone designed to look like the old stop-motion effects in the original Clash of the Titans. I think it was called Brazen?
Yeah, I'd want to play that too. I'm willing to bet it needs more of a development budget than Double Fine could throw at it, though.
It looks okay, I guess, but I'd just not buy it and play MonHun instead.
