    February 17 -- First day for clubs to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
    February 19-25 -- NFL Scouting Combine, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana.
    March 3 -- Prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, deadline for clubs to designate Franchise or Transition Players.
    March 8 -- Clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2013 Player Contracts at 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 11. However, a contract cannot be executed with a new club until 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 11.
    March 11 -- Top-51 Begins. All clubs must be under the 2014 Salary Cap prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time.
    March 11 -- All 2013 player contracts will expire at 4:00 p.m., New York time.
    March 11 -- The 2014 League Year and Free Agency period begin at 4:00 p.m., New York time.
    March 11 -- Trading period for 2014 begins at 4:00 p.m., New York time, after expiration of all 2013 contracts.
    April 21 -- Offseason workout program begins.
    May 2 -- Deadline for Restricted Free Agents to sign Offer Sheets.
    May 7 -- Deadline for Prior Club to exercise Right of First Refusal to Restricted Free Agents.
    May 8-10 -- 2014 NFL Draft, New York City, New York.
    July 15 -- At 4:00 p.m., New York time, deadline for any Club that designated a Franchise Player to sign such player to a multi-year contract or extension. After this date, the player may sign only a one-year contract with his Prior Club for the 2014 season, and such contract cannot be extended until after the Club’s last regular season game.
    July -- Teams report to training camp no sooner than 15 days prior to the team's first preseason game.
    September 4, 7-8 -- Kickoff Weekend 2014

  5. Browns are a complete disaster and have a high draft pick in a deep year. This is gonna be fun! Any 40 year old QBs out there?

    Pick me! I'm not quite 40, but I'll go get a nice insurance policy and then get hurt in the first quarter of the first game.

    What a terrible article. Unless you're doing a mock draft, you can't predict it, because it's the guy who gets drafted by a team that already has a good defense and running game.

  9. 2014 Seattle Seahawks home opponents: Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders

    Will be interesting to see which opponent is selected for the Thursday night season opener.
