Megaman hits a lot harder on NES, IMO.
some of this is pretty cool, but it really really bugs me that he recorded it so hot that you hear some poppity crackly bullshit in the background

Here's a version of Star Fox I like more than the one above, and more than the SNES original.
I'm no audio expert but it seems more advanced than I would expect cartridge Genesis to be capable of. If it can do all of this at once, I'm impressed.
Interesting that they remixed Mega Man 1 when it already has a Megadrive version.

It looks like that Star Fox one is just barely possible. I don't see it using any more than 6 channels at any one time, though I have my doubts about whether you'd ever be able to get drum or orchestral hits to output that cleanly.
This one's a billion times better than the SNES original.

The Mega Man X series would have been a perfect fit for Genny's dirty electronic sounds.
