I need to get a used PS2 or mod my japanese slim to play mine. How hard is the mod? Can Gohan do it for me?
That's fine, I've been playing used copies of the Anniversary Collections on PS2 all month.

Super short version-
You need:
a) A memory card with McBoot installed
b) A blank memory card
c) A McBoot installer ELF (you can't just copy the files to the memory card and have it work, getting around MagicGate encryption actually comes into play here)
d) Your relevant software to install.
and you're good!
You can SASE me a blank card and I'd be happy to put McBoot and the newbie setup on it.
PS: As far as I can tell, Mega Man X Collection PS2 hates component cables and doesn't play on my TV through them, YMMV. Sega Ages Panzer Dragoon pulls the same shit. I haven't figured out if there's some Gameshark trick to force it to RGB or not yet.
