I buy a game on Day 1 for one of two reasons.

1. I really want the game and have been looking forward to it, it might have a multiplayer component that will obviously be better on day one.
2. It's one of those games that going by previous data will be harder to find later on in it's life.

I've been trying to follow this and luck out in some cases. Having a copy of Xenoblade without paying through the nose is a nice enough reason to Day 1 it. Mario Kart 8 will be everywhere but I'll Day 1 it Because Mario Kart. Dumb stuff that looks dumb, but I'd like to play anyway? I wait til it gets stupid cheap. That's how I got Blue Dragon for $2.

I only ever buy a game on Day 1 if I plan to play it on that day or like already stated, it will disappear. There are very very few games I would consider for Day 1 for playing. I can't even think of a title this year that qualifies.

See, I early adopted the the LE since there were incentives tied to doing so.
But I did it through Square's awful digital river site.
After attempting to order it once and receiving no confirmation emails or anything, I did it again. This time I saved the order number.
When I log in and open my order history, it's a blank fucking page.
If I use the order number to search it, what I ordered comes up, but there's no indication of when the order was placed, if it has shipped, if it will ship, any of that.
So I guess I'm not getting the LE and so Square will not be getting my money at all. I'll wait for some nerd to trade it in.
Ridiculous.
