You ever watch the Battle Angel OVAs? They're not that great.
It will be great if they really let him make it. If they let it be another Fury Road, with a dirty undercity, and a blade runner upper city, and have physical props for all the close ups of robot bodies, etc, it would be amazing.
If they make it like a dozen other current movies, it will be boring to trash.
