Was the last great domestic tetris the DS one?
Ubisoft got the rights to Tetris and announced that they were making a new Tetris game early this year. At E3 it was shown some, but only listed PS4 and XBO for a summer release date, then a PC port later in the fall. Download only it seems.
It was then announced for Vita, and today showed up on Nintendo Europe's 3DS fall release list. Who knows what they're thinking.
The trailer is worthless but here is a small clip of gameplay.
Some details of note-
6 modes, 5 basic ones and 1 with powerups that didn't look that interesting.
looks very uplay integrated. I saw a 'store' in a menu already.
up to 4 player online.
'Social integration' and online leaderboards
no price announced yet.
I read that there are tons of options you can change- some things you might expect like previews and the drop ghost, but also more interesting stuff like how fast you can move.
Most news about the game is shit because its people making NEXT GEN 1080P 60 FPS jokes.
I love Tetris, but I don't really trust that this is going to be done that well. Would be great to get on Vita eventually, but I'd much rather have Puyo Tetris localized.
