They can be RGB modded, although it only works on the PACs and not the actual Laserdiscs.

Right, but that means that you have to mod them individually, so it's twice the pain in the ass for three times the price or whatever.

Arcades in Japan are dropping like flies, particularly the private-owned ones. Last month, someone recommended an arcade for me to check out-- it closed last week before I could go. It's depressing to witness all of my former hangouts locked up, with "lease" signs on the windows.

The traditional Japanese game industry is collapsing. It will all be on cell phones soon.

I found a video of the arcade I was mentioning before.


It's not in Japan but half of its games seem to be Japanese versions. The video's not that recent but it still looks similar. The Tron is gone and there are some newer machines like Transformers now. I didn't realize the Sonic Blast Man franchise was still around until I saw this machine with its punching bag controller.
