    AS ALWAYS, THANKS FOR READING!

  2. If an image is worth a thousand words, your cover screams Nintendo bias. It's interesting as Nintendo's console would only feature in two of the ten years your book spans.
Out of curiosity, what's the rough percentage breakdown of systems featured in your list?

  3. Hi, thanks for your interest. The publisher designed the cover, not because of bias, because it is an image that people readily recognize. The publisher doesn't really care about one company over another (I had no say in the cover).

I can do better than that. Since the book is available now, I can reveal the full list. l'm sure there will be some you agree with and some you don't. Keep in mind that the release dates for the games cut off at 1987.

I hope these are North American release dates, because if it's global, and Phantasy Star isn't on the list, it crumbles like a house of cards.

edit: I do commend the general variety of the list though on first blush.

edit2: I actually like the cover, since Nintendo fans will buy and then be pissed off by reading what appears to be a more truthful account of history than they are used to.

  5. Warlords for 2600 is so dope. I prefer it to the arcade version. It's just as fun today as it was back then. I can't think of another 2600 game that has aged as well.

  6. H.E.R.O. remains awesome to this day.

Yes, North American release dates. Good question, one that others have asked me while referring to Phantasy Star.

  8. I'm curious why the (imo) weaker version of Demon Attack was used.
And I'm sad to admit it took me a minute to realize it was alphabetical...
Also, why are some games listed as multi-platform, yet others only singularly? I thought the 5200 version of Popeye was great, shitty controller notwithstanding.

Ah, good question. You'll have to read the book to find out.

  10. Guess I won't find out then.
    But good luck with it!
