Concept art purporting to be from Guerilla Games' unannounced PlayStation-exclusive project has allegedly surfaced online.
The unverified and heavily watermarked images first appeared on a Chinese forum, showing off robotic dinosaurs in both a sparse, snowy environment, and another in woodland.
While we don't know for certain whether these images are from the game, which is reportedly codenamed "Horizon", the images do seem to tally with claims made by an industry insider called Shinobi602 back in May. He made claims back then that robotic dinosaurs and a red-headed female protagonist would be appearing in the game. Looking at the images, you can see both are present.
Of course, it's not beyond the realms of possibility for someone to have gone to town using this information and, in the intervening months, decided to mock up some images to mess with the gaming community at large. God knows it's happened before. However, Shinobi602 has a history of correct predictions, including Quantum Break's delay and the setting for Battlefield Hardline.
For now, we're stuck guessing at just what this new franchise may focus on, but the evidence is certainly starting to stack up. The only other thing we have to go on is the fact that one of Fallout: New Vegas' devs recently joined the studio. Seeing as he's best known for his work on open-world games, could we conclude we'll be free to go where we please? Time will tell.
