Edmonton has allowed 23 goals in 4 games. That's almost 6 goals allowed per game.

I guess that's what happens when you keep spending all your #1 draft picks on forwards.

Actually they did draft a D in one of their recent drafts in the first round. But he's not ready yet. Dallas Eakins needs to be fired, the experiment has not worked and won't be working anytime soon. And if MacTavish won't do it they need to fire him too. And if Kevin Lowe won't fire them both then he needs to go too.

Time to start trading some of that talent. Yakupov can go. Nugent Hopkins can go. Eberle and Hall stay. I want solid D that know the job. None of this trading for up and coming shit. No picks. Enough is enough.

Pens penalty kill is starting to come together. Power play looks so damn good. Gotta thank wEE's Preds for Hornqvist . The guy has changed the chemistry of Crosby's line as well as the powerplay. Steve Downie is every bit as a butthole as Cooke or Ruutu was to play against. He keeps Crosby and LeTang from getting engaged in bullshit they can't handle.

All that being said, The Islanders look like a force so far and definitely a playoff-caliber team. Halak was a GREAT signing for them as well as their new look blue line with Boychuk.

The Oilers need to fire everybody running that team. They have been picking from the same supply of ex-Oilers and the team has been terrible. Get rid of everyone and go outside the organization.

Lets hope that the Jets are able to get some offense in tonight's game.
