I wouldn't even watch it if that were the case. Why would you want that?
The directors Twin Peaks has influenced are a lot more interesting visually than Actual Twin Peaks at this point. I think Lynch should write it, I don't think this is as good as it could be with him directing it.
Recent example: Inland Empire is the worst movie I have ever seen in my life.
Twin Peaks with True Detective production values would be amazing.

I get that, but it's not a point that needs to be made again. There's nothing lost in making it well, commenting on 30 year old production values doesn't mean anything in 2015.
TOTALLY disagree on Inland Empire, you can keep it. Harry Dean Stanton was the only highlight.

If Lynch wasn't directing, I would probably sit this out and Twin peaks is my favorite tv series ever (except maybe Star trek TOS?)
