It was originally designed as a boardgame with ccg elements, the characters were all designed to be 3D printed and modular (which is apparent in the concepts link, with the action-figure'y j), and those designs were brought over to the videogame version with little adaption. The core rules don't translate perfectly, but the adaptation documents are always being revised for one version while the other is worked on.
I don't think it will be a hard sell, it's just not a good KS candidate in it's current form (might be a little too "8 months ago"), and we're not that willing to revise it in to something that is. We'll just seek other funding.
