Mapping jump to l3 is so smart

He's saying he's using the default controls in which jump is in a bad place for most every character, and he has to get all claw grip to maintain playing as Mercy latching onto Pharah.

Ah, gotcha. I haven't devoted any time to Mercy. Pharah kind of has the same issue if you're trying to use X to jump, leaving the R stick is suicide. Luckily the L2 hover makes up for that.

Also, as far as Pharah is concerned, fuck worrying about going out of your way to heal her. She is the most mobile character in the game, and has the most options for health packs / escape.

L2 is also just jump, they made it her alt fire by default. Feels weird on PC because I'm not used to having mouse 2 as jump but some people swear by it for Lucio.

So...Can somebody explain this game to me? I mean, it looks good, but it just looks like "a game". Yet I see it everywhere, front page of Reddit and all. What's the deal? Why is Competent Shooting Game Number 8476 setting the world on fire? I mean, you shoot people, right? In the first person, right?

They put a lot of work into character details, people seem to latch on to that. Every update seems to have little bits of dialog that get added in, they put out a lot of high-quality animated shorts, it's a heavy emphasis.

Doesn't effect how the game plays one iota, but it's nice to see them putting that kind of work in when they didn't have to.



It's a better Team Fortress 2 with more personality, that's not really a bad thing to be at all.

The lines of dialog really bring out the characters and make them feel more alive than other competitive shooters. Other stuff I play often feels a bit more hollow just because they lack little touches like that.
