Thread: Completion Thread: 2015 FINISH HIM!!

  1. I'm still most partial to NES Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island. Full Throttle is pretty neato too.

Lucasarts made a lot of great games!

  2. I'm pretty interested to see what Double Fine has in store for DoTT: Special Edition. Unlike Grim, that one is going to be more of a total remake, which is dangerous but could pay off if done well.

  3. Not sure how much I trust Double Fine in general.

  4. Tim Schafer is a pro bullshitter

  5. Steve Purcell was the best part about old LucasArts, I'm not sure how Schafer managed to walk away with that crown exactly.

Beat the Adventures of Batman and Robin on the Genesis because some guy who sucks on GAF did it. Hadn't really sat down for serious attempts since some of the stages drag like crazy. Mad Hatter is the hardest boss in the game. Get past him and you're very likely to finish.

I completely respect the fact that spite motivated you.

    I can get behind this.

Probably because Purcell only worked as a writer on one game, while Shafer was lead on three. He was an underutilized talent.

LucasArts had a lot of talent working there back then. It's hard to credit any one person.

In any event, Double Fine's remake is going to be at least partly an extension of the incomplete LucasArts one that was canned when they went under, so it's a pretty big unknown.

"Writers". Dude did quite a bit more than write.
