    It reminds me of when Doubt was released. A lot of Catholics I knew wanted nothing to do with it. They saw it as "Hollywood beating up on Christians again." Or something.

    Never mind that it did no such thing; in fact, it gave the sex abuse scandal a more human touch (so to speak) than any other medium that comes to mind. They hadn't seen the movie, but that doesn't matter when you know your opinion is always the correct one.
