Thread: Live-action Zelda series coming to Netflix?

  1. Live-action Zelda series coming to Netflix?

Well this is unexpected. Never thought we'd see Nintendo farm their IPs out for western adaptation again, with how clearly ashamed they are of the Mario movie and the terrible-in-hindsight late 80s/early 90s cartoons. I can only imagine that if this is true they'll be insanely controlling over it, to avoid having that kind of disaster again.

Also: "family-friendly Game of Thrones" is about the most hilarious description for a new show I've ever heard.

I want to see some Zelda titties, son.

FYI, Leguizamo and Hoskins were pretty much shit-hammered for every take of that movie.

  4. Who wouldn't be?

Maybe. Zelda has always been the barest bones of a story so there is lots of room to play and interpret. If they do a good job....it will be good, but I think there shouldn't be a lot of dialogue or it would feel wrong. They have to nail the tone and pacing.

I think the show that hits the feel of Zelda closest is Steven Universe.

  8. Game of Thrones works almost exactly because of its adult nature. Without it theres no intrigue. I hope this works but it sounds destined for a train wreck.
