On the plus side there's good odds they get murdered, but I don't particularly want to think about either of them at all in the first place.

I'm sure it will be no big deal or affect the movie at all.
Maybe seeing Eastbound and Down in your srs sci fi movie won't break disbelief for you.
I can understand how it would for some.
I'll be more than happy to eat my words if his being in the movie ends up making it worse, but until then, I won't let that casting skew me one way or the other.
