  6. Birthday haul: NECA Alien Queen (huge!), The Complete Calvin and Hobbes Hardcover set, some nice socks. Nice birthday! Also checked out the Alameda Pinball Museum.

    True, but there aren't other options in most cases.

    I watched Rear Window first- those sped up shots at the end are so bizarre. I can forgive the fall from the balcony that hasn't aged well, but those other shots are such a strange choice. Overall the film looks good, with a handful of soft moments in the transfer. The lighting/composition of the "confrontation" shots between L.B. and Thorvald is incredible.

  10. Nice! Calvin and Hobbes is good stuff.

    JP Saturn games arrived. Nights and Panzer Dragoon. Both good stuff so far. Still need to get the 3D controller for nights (somewhat on the pricey side, but not too expensive), but the game itself was dirt cheap.
