    DVD ripping and burning software

Anyone have any current favorites for ripping and burning dvds?

I would like to cut down on some doubles I've kept around for commentary tracks or make new copies like the condensed Hobbit or redub the first hairy potter, or make laughtrax copies.

    I'd shave it first.

I wish I could remember what I used to use for this purpose. Apparently it's been so long that my latest Windows installation never had it.

  3. If you decide to join the early 2000's and rip your movies to mp4 for streaming I'd suggest Handbrake.

Why would I stream when I could just build a mini and play it straight from something like a raspberry pi?

Because you can store them all on one giant HDD and then stream it to every screen in your house?
