Thread: The General Purpose Arcade Thread.

Killer Instinct is kinda rare but I'm not sure If I can delve into Cabinet collecting. This was dedicated for $250 but I don't remember playing it in the Arcade.

  2. I found a really weird arcade at a Rohnert Park miniature golf center last week. Damn near every iteration of Street Fighter II, Alpha, and III were there, including Japanese cabs for SFA3 Upper and SF2 CE Rainbow. Ditto for most of Capcom's 90s and early 00s output (Darkstalkers 1-3, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Puzzle Fighter, Gem Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom 1 and 2, Capcom vs. SNK 2). Hacks of King of Fighters 2002 and XI had their own dedicated cabinets along with legit versions of Garou and KoF XIII. They even had an import Tatsunoko vs. Capcom on what appeared to be a custom big screen setup. Crazy shit!

  3. Is that the Scandia old over there on the west side of the 101? They used to have an cool arcade on the east side of the 101... I'm sure it's not there anymore. They got SFIII really early when it just came out.
look here, upon a sig graveyard.

  4. Yeah, that's the one! I was pretty shocked by how well-curated it was. F-Zero AX, Outrun 2, After Burner Climax, Ghost Squad, Point Blank, etc. Someone knows their stuff.

Who would have thought particle board was a poor choice for wet areas.

I was nervous as shit about this one, as it's a lot less common and more expensive than AvP had I screwed it up.

Thankfully this is my last CPS2 game, and I'm not really looking for any others, so I won't have to do this again for years.
Have you ever considered getting the flash cart mod/hack thing for CPS2 boards? You can have all your legitimately purchased games on it, and not have to worry about their batteries.

It's expensive but I don't know if its more or less than replacing some of those boards.

Not seriously. Arcade stuff is the only game thing left that I collect, and it's a very select few I'm targeting. I don't want an MVS multi either.

Wood is a bad choice in wet areas. I believe that most of the 80's arcade cabinets used 3/4"'plywood.

I didn't mean for it as like you don't collect those things, more like not having to worry about the battery of it dying or screwing up replacing a battery sort of thing. Because you have a backup.
