Make sure your mobo is laying flat and then tighten the screws in a pattern like this:

1 4
3 2

Stop when it's snug but not tight. Otherwise, the thermal paste may pop the CPU off the mobo when it adheres.

That Hyper 212 thing is a real pain in the ass to install. The way the mounting bracket "fits" onto the cooler is incredibly poorly designed.
