I'll see this right after I see the Total Recall and Robocop remakes.

  3. Robocop was OK. I can't bring myself to see Total Recall though.

  4. Robocop was watchable. Total Recall was boring and a waste of time.

This. The most pointless remake in a sea of pointless remakes.

I've tried twice, but I can never make it more than about 1/3 of the way in.

  7. I maintain that the Robocop one is actually an outstanding Sega E-Swat movie.

    I have hope still.
Yeah those are definitely the best Carpenter movies of the lot, particularly The Thing and They Live. The only one I was really late to the party with was to Escape From New York since I never got the chance to watch it before it came to Neflix. Personally I thought it was in the okay territory so a remake of that movie wouldn't be as big of an issue for me, it's one of those movies where the potential for a remake has a lot more in its favor in terms of production.
