    Frank Cifaldi is using this as a platform to push for game preservation by porting these games to an engine that can more easily be scaled to more consoles in a way that is EXTREMELY faithful to the originals. I don't know how much reconstruction is required (like, every sprite interaction rebuilt from the ground up?) but I'm interested in the results.

    He's saying it isn't emulation in the traditional sense, but there's definitely going to be an emulator at the core. Too hard for me to believe otherwise.

    I hope it turns out well, either way.
