Thread: Help Me Pick a TV

  1. I don't even recommend using an LCD with retro consoles. Even my Dreamcast with a VGA box looks like ass on it. The DC looked better on an HD CRT using S-Video.

You wanna come to my house and carry a fucking crt around for me?

Why do you asslords suggest that shit?

  3. You going to carry a 2 cubit wide flat screen by yourself?

RGB through a framemister looks amazing on my TV.

  5. CRT's are way too heavy when you're looking at a screen size of 100 nano-hectares.

  6. It's maybe four hands tall, from hooves to ears. Real pony of a tv.

Yeah, that is a great way to do it. Hooking up a Genesis directly into a big flat panel display just isn't ideal though. You're better off using emulation, or a framemeister.

Because some of us asslords still play light gun games and such that require a CRT. It's also a perk of owning a house over renting some apartment that you'll move out of in 5 years.

These CRTs have been in the same spot in my mancave for over a decade.

While the living room is where the consoles and PC capable of displaying HD content are on the 52" LCD display.

  9. Come on, guys. You can't expect him to waste space on some big, heavy piece of impractical, obsolete technology.
He'd have no room for tank parts.

    >pretending the tank parts aren't cooler
