  1. Variant Schwanzer: Lost 1999 Seta STG on N64 arcade hardware.

    Here's a video of Seta's Aleck64 game Variant Schwanzer.
Stage 1 looks nice, rotating similarly to Phelios but with 3D rendering.
This has a Variant Shot weapon that allows you to fuse with enemies, not unlike G.Darius. A fused enemy can be used as a 1-hit shield, to shoot a sub-weapon, or spent for a special attack. The SA requires full energy (gained by taking items from killed enemies). Enemies killed with a SA are worth 5x the normal value.

Doesn't look bad IMO. Hopefully it's not too far from getting into MAME.

  2. Well that got my attention. The Shmups thread says Shou scored a copy a while back. Any helpful TNLer care to confirm/deny?

  3. I remember bits and pieces from sites back in the day, looks decent in motion. The ship reminds me of Cybercore with how it morphs with power ups.

  4. Was this a game killed after loketests or something? Looks neat. That "clap" move is very Radiant Silvergun.
