The time it takes you to save and load (and you must do these every time you modify weapons (and the whole game is just a twelve-hour series of weapons-modifying sessions with a few crate puzzles and Parasite Eve-if-you-only-had-melee-weapons between each)) is going to drive you crazy. I could hardly handle it when it came out.
Vagrant Story is the weirdo Square PS1 game that everyone wants to have played and nobody wants to play.
