You know what could have been a cool movie?
If they insist on having this ENORMOUS GALAXY FULL OF HUNDREDS OF SYSTEMS revolve around the machinations of a dozen people, introduce a Rosencrantz and Guildenstern type crew that plays along the fringes of major plot points.
But better yet, tell some stories that don't have shit to do with the goddamn skywalkers or jedi.

I think the expanded universe had that with a comic about two fuckup storm troopers. And there is also the droids cartoon.

The Vader Scene though.

The whole movie needs to exist just so I can watch a magical robot just fucking destroy those rebel scum for 9 seconds.

Other than walt and Lucas both being above such things, it's funny how much of the fan base really just wants to see the empire wreck wholesale ass.

On a basic design level, Star Wars is a bunch of Moebius looking space shit just hanging out and looking cool. If that's all this show is, I'm pretty ok with that.
