Thread: The 2015 college football thread.

  1. Other than the southern Cal schools, the Pac-12 is going to have it rough this year

Oregon might be OK if their defense doesn't remain god awful

My alma mater's scrub QB threw a pick six on the first play of the season. That frees up about 30 hours I could have wasted over the next few months.

  3. Vandy's loss against WKU on Thursday is going to make selling tickets for the football season even harder now. Not that there was that much momentum going into the season, but what little there was is pretty much gone now. Was really hoping to see them turn things around this year. Maybe they can pull off a win against UGA this Saturday...

All TV deals can eat a dick, starting with DirecTV and the NFL.

  7. Auburn is losing to Jacksonville State 20-13 in the fourth quarter. They'll probably find some way to win but what an embarrassment.

  8. Jacksonville State played it too safe at the end of that game. They made a super conservative third down call when they only needed one first down to run out the clock in regulation. Then they took a knee and conceded OT when they only needed a FG to win the game in regulation. You've got to be more aggressive when you're an underdog on the road like that.

  9. Totally agree. Didn't Appalachian State march it down the field versus Michigan and kicked a FG to win it? That's what you have to do. You're not gonna win in OT when the best player on your team probably couldn't get a scholarship on the other team.

Yep. But that conference has ten of the top 25 teams.

edit: Toledo was intimidated by the mighty SEC too.
