I was trying to talk about Wilson, but it's so hard to discuss overrated QBs without using the poster child as a measuring stick.

Yeah, some QBs have to win games and not throw five yard passes and let their receivers and defense do all the work. Notice how Matt Cassel can't step in for Romo without missing a beat.
edit: In fact, go back to Diff's earlier post:
Now compare that to Cassel's 2008 numbers on probably a worse team:
21 TDs, 11 INTs, and an 89.4 rating

Yeah, Cassel has no SB rings. Hey, come to think of it, neither does Romo. But I'm sure that Jones and everyone in Dallas are thankful that they have Weeden and are just concentrating on Romo coming back because they know he can win games. Brady will just have to hope his defense can carry him to a fifth title.
This is the absolute best litmus test for finding people who don't understand football. Eli Manning is a better QB than Peyton, right? And Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino? Hell, Eli beat Brady head-to-head twice, and since "it's a QB league," that must make him better too, right?
edit: In fact, the only people you can objectively compare with rings are head coaches with personnel power and/or GMs. If not for his cheating, Bellichick would be arguably the best modern one of the former, giving Brady advantages a guy like Peyton Manning would have turned into a crazy number of rings. Imagine if Brady were actually valued out of college and went #1 to the Jets. How many rings would you say he would have?

The 2007 Pats were all offense and didn't have much of a running game either.
Brady threw what, 51 TDs? That was the most incredible offensive display I've ever seen. Cassel compares favorably to the 04 team but the 08 one was built quite differently. Obviously there was a huge drop off between Cassel and Brady.
They actually had a decent running game. Brady just audibled to a pass at the goal line every time to pad his stats. Hopefully ARBM will go look at that season for the blowout padding too.
Notice they didn't win shit when they were a offense and specifically pass-first team*, yet the Colts, Saints, and Packers all did. Notably, the Steelers haven't either, not at all surprisingly.
edit: *And that's despite a fantastic pass blocking line, anchored by soon-to-be Hall of Famer Matt Light.
edit2: Look at 2009 Brady vs. 2008 Cassel. 28 TDs, 13 INTs, 96.2 rating. It's pretty clear 2007 was the fluke.

Well they had one of the best slot receivers of all time in his prime, I would argue that was the point.
And the same guy was on the team in 08 too. Wes Welker actually had more receptions in 08 than 07, so obviously Brady brought something to that offense.
