I think it hits on a lot of the central themes of the novel while being really goddamn sarcastic about them. I love that movie.

That Reboot looking TV show is closer to both the novel and total unwatchability.

Coicendence. The movie was never meant to be connected to the book. It was orginally it's own thing and the rights were bought after the fact.

I figure it's a Blade Runner situation. Blade Runner the Movie has very little to do with Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep the book, but is still perfectly great as a movie.

Wouldn't that be the problem, though? For the politics and trade negotiations, however little of it there was, to stand out so much means there's NOTHING going on in this movie.

Still, the pod race was... pretty cool.

Speaking of Clerks, the real movie absolutely sucks but the animated series is genius.
