Yeah, the interface and pre-Quake engine have their limits. Having WASD controls now is definitely nice, though.
Kickstarter is a bet, not a preorder.
It would be cool if it acted like shares. Buy (x) amount of shares in this boardgame, get a payout if it becomes a successful retail product or if Hasbro buys it out.

Development is back on, release date now (allegedly) Q1 2020.
Also, they say that they're going back to the straight remake plan (as opposed to the reimagining/reboot territory they were venturing into).
It's the right call. Especially with System Shock 3 on the way, a more direct remake serves more purpose than trying to evolve the series. It's a shame they wasted almost 2 years with nothing to show for it, but it's not like delivering 2 years late in unheard of...
