Very nice. Taxes on an almost $300k home suck.
Property tax is kind of fucked up. Say I work hard and buy a huge house. Or build a shop. Or just buy some tree covered acres. If I quit the job for a lower paying job or no job, I can have the land I paid for, taken away because I can't pay the taxes. What sense does that make?

In the US, if I inherit the forest land that my dad inherited from his dad, that has zero services provided to it by the state or federal government and I don't pay the taxes on it, I can lose it. This is after we've paid taxes on it for over 100 years.
