http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/autono...-response-asmrAutonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a term used to describe a sensory experience characterized by a pleasant tingling sensation in the head and scalp, which can be triggered by sounds like whispering or brushing, and visual stimulus like painting or drawing. On YouTube, the phenomenon inspired the creation of “whisperer” videos, in which people attempt to trigger the viewer’s ASMR by speaking in a soft voice and making various sounds with inanimate objects.

I was introduced to this earlier in the day. I had no idea this was a thing. I am still trying to process this.
Doesn't do anything to me.
Boo, Hiss.
Maybe this is more your type?

This is my favorite one:
Yeah, it has no effect on me either.
I guess we're dead inside.
That toy saw one gave me that effect. It's more weird than pleasurable, though.
I guess this is like the nails on chalkboard thing but not negative.

I spend a very embarrassing amount of time watching these videos, but I'm very particular - most vids do nothing, but Olivia Kissper's channel is nonstop mega tingle head for me. There's someone about her accent mixed with her methodology that just totally works for me. Some of the younger girls methods just irritate me though, I've found male voices do nothing for me either. It's gotta be female with an accent (speaking another language other than English is fine) or sound effects only. So...if one thing doesn't work for you, you may have to find another "trigger."
