That's what happens when you run a zone defense. No pressure on Brady and he can just sit there until the wide receiver makes the cut into the open areas of the zone. Dick Labeau would have blitzed the shit out of Brady.

    The refs...

-I didn't like the call against #50 for hitting a defenseless player. That was bs.

-It certainly appeared that Brady fumbled the ball and his knees were resting on his own player.

-The lack of a holding call against the Pats defensive back, even though he was doing the cha cha with the receiver before the ball ever got there.

No, I don't believe that the Steelers stood a chance at winning this game. They wouldn't even be a wild card team if they played in the NFC. I just don't like it when the refs have their head up their asses.

  2. The NFL admits that the unsportsmanlike conduct call against Dallas was wrong. That call probably costed Dallas the game.

The call erased a 22-yard completion to Terrance Williams that would have placed the Cowboys at the Packers’ 16-yard line.

According to NFL reporter Michael Lombardi, the league admitted the call was a mistake.

Had the play happened in the fourth quarter, it would have been magnified. But the fact that it took place early in the game doesn’t make it any less important.

Instead of having a first down in the red zone, the Cowboys faced 2nd-and-20 at their own 48-yard line. They punted two plays later, so you could argue that the incorrect call took a score away from them in a game that ended on a last-second field goal.

    That's a real stretch.

Not at all. They went from 1st down on the GB 16 yard line, to 3rd and 20 something on the 45. They would have at least scored 3 and had a solid chance at 7. Green Bay went up 21-3 after getter the ball back and driving down the field for another score.

  5. Even if you give them the 7 points there, the idea that it cost them the game assumes everything else plays out exactly as it did, which of course is not the case. There's still a shitload of game left.

If that happened with 2 minutes left in the fourth it can be reasonably construed to cost them the game because not that much happens afterwards.

Green Bay was not stopping the Dallas Cowboys in the second half and the Packers only managed to put up 13 points in the second half. 6 of those second half points for Green Bay were an insane 56 yard field goal and a 51 yarder. If Dallas was only down by 4 points at the half, Elliot probably would have touched the ball at least 32 times and there was no way that Green Bay would have stopped him.

  7. Again, no way of knowing.

  8. I think that the odds of Dallas winning that game would sway heavily in their favor if they had 35 points instead of 28.

  9. Boo hoo they still lost. This garbage happens to every team all year. One or two plays doesn't make a game. You can spin plays for every game for or against any team.

It took a score away from Dallas. Short of a fumble or interception, Dallas was going to have either 3 or 7 points.

Boo hoo, your team's sitting at home too.
