Plasma Sword's gameplay is pretty bland, but the character designs are super underrated.

I often wish interesting-looking characters from games that kinda fell on their face got second chances to be recycled into better games, rather than just getting thrown out with the bathwater and left to die in obscurity. Tell me this guy wouldn't be a solid foundation for a pretty rad sci-fi-themed DMC clone:
