I've been playing the Monster Land arcade game on PS3 this week, it feels very laggy? Not the slowdown as much as just input lag.

Controls in that game were very very loose like a lot of arcade games in that time period. The SMS version played a lot better. Kinda like the difference between Contra arcade and NES.

I think it's Frog's thing. The arcade version is just unpleasant to move around in.

Yeah, back in the day I was lucky enough to play both versions but I played the SMS one first so the arcade version's controls bugged me. The PC Engine port's physics also feel like the arcade game. The only shitty thing about the SMS version is that it's not Genesis controller compatible (unless you modify the controller).
