A AV fami with an Everdrive is one of the best things ever.

I think it is really that I was a gen kid and there is just something right about the black and maroon twin famicom

Also the carts look more like gen carts, and are more colorful than nes carts

the nes is just an ugly shitty working thing, really

There are some legit exceptions, like the GI Joe games and Strider.

  6. Some of the US Brand Reskins are great. Yo Noid is way more fun than whatever it replaced, for instance.

  7. I wish I could find an affordable AV Fami. I love the look of the little fucker.

  8. Saved my lunch money for three months so I could get an AVS.
This thing is pretty frickin' sweet. Save states and native 1080p support would have been nice, but it looks and sounds miles better than any Retron. So I'll live without the niceties. Plus, should I ever get a 4K tv, this will scale perfectly to it. So 1080 ain't much of a loss in the long run.

  9. Is that the NES hardware thing that just came out?

I was thinking of getting that Analogue Mini thing.

  10. Yes, and it's pretty much the same thing as the analogue mini, except less than half the cost.
Both do "hardware simulation" where an FPGA is mimicking the hardware, unlike the original Analogue NT which used actual hardware.
