  1. I always wanted Kolibri. It seemed like Ecco with easier controls.

I think you're totally missing my point. I haven't bought anything from Nintendo since the GameCube, because I do not like their business practices, or the way that they treat/ignore their customers. The day that they announced that the Wii was not for me, was the day that was the final straw for me.

There's no excuse for Nintendo to cancel distribution of a 1st party title, 4 months after its release. They didn't do that for a much lesser title like Pikman 3. They create artificial consumer demand by trickling out available units of hardware, software and other items (Amiibos), and they're doing it now with the NES Classic Edition. That's why scalpers are constantly swooping in and boarding supplies, because they know how Nintendo operates.
The perfect response to this is

I guess it's good to have principles and stand by them. But it's just games and I think you've missed out on some good ones for stupid reasons.
It's sorta like the CAG people that will try to get a store to sell them a game at a massive discount, and then say "well, they lost a sale because they wouldn't do what I wanted!"
I can understand as a consumer that you want to get the most for the least. But these companies don't run on good vibes and intentions. Out of the dozens of games Nintendo has released, a few have gone out of print (because they were limited or didn't sell). I don't understand how you can get upset that a company isn't trying to lose money just to get your business. Nobody wanted Pikmin 3 until it was OOP. Same with MPT and XBC. Those games were around for MONTHS. You can't expect Nintendo to keep a game in production that isn't selling just because it hasn't hit your price point yet. Zelda OoT 3DS went out of print for a while. Instead of being the greedy douches they could have been (should have been imo) and just made more at original MSRP, they released it and Pikmin 3 as Nintendo Selects titles. Guess what, they're back to no one wants them again (relatively). The Wii version of Pikmin 2 LAUNCHED as a Nintendo Selects, and again it wasn't met with outstanding sales. It sat and sat until it finally dried up and then the collectors decided en mass that they had to have it and the $20 game was for a while getting $80 on the secondary market.

If you want to bitch about something, and get me on your side, it's when they announce something for preorder (such as the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition) and then refuse to meet the upfront demand for it and keep it limited. That seems stupid and pointless. It's one thing for me to not get something because I ignored it for 6 months, it's another when the item went up for preorder and completely sold out in under an hour. I can't get mad about the NES classic because they said it's not limited and there will be more eventually. It's been a few days since I last checked, but there were over 20,000 sold on eBay. That's insane.
You want to bitch about things like Amiibo and NES Classic being hard to find, bitch about the scalpers who have sold 20 fucking thousand of them on Ebay. The same thing happened with the first few runs of Amiibos and then Nintendo pushed larger releases with the later ones and they sit on store shelves with no one buying them. Their goal isn't to have product shitting up store shelves till you're ready to buy them. Plus you keep proclaiming you've turned away and want nothing to do with them, THEN STOP BITCHING about them. If you truly didn't care you wouldn't say shit.

It was just one example that I was giving. There's a multitude of reasons why they aren't getting money from me anytime soon. They released who knows how many Gameboys, and all but a niche model had no back light. They continue that trend with the GBA and don't release a backlit GBA until the popularity of the GameBoy Afterburner starts making waves in gaming circles. There's even more bullshit that they did in the handheld market, that I don't even care to go over.

Sorry Wii U owners, but Nintendo isn't going to give you the next Zelda title until after it's released in the Switch.
They didn't announce they were no longer making any. They said this is a limited edition get it before it sells out, because we don't plan on making any more and then never said anything else.

Like SSJN said you've missed on cool shit cause you want to have a raging hard on of principals over vidya games. You keep the strong fight going dude, maybe next year Senpai will notice you. Rage against the machine or some shit.

It and Chaotix were the sole reason I had any interest in the 32X, Dracula X and Scavenger's off roader might have sold me the system if they had surfaced.

My initial response was to Melf bitching about how Nintendo and Amazon handled the Black and White 3DS sale.

I'm saying that this is the norm for Nintendo. People acting surprised about it is what I was bringing up. They constantly do things that does not make sense, don't care about what their customers want and are expecting their fanbase to continue to buy their bullshit in drones. There's a reason the the Wii U bombed, and 90% of that is because of Nintendo's track record with consumers and 3rd party devs.

There are plenty of great games out there that I've yet play. I'm content with it not being from Nintendo's latest hardware.

  5. It's probably old hat around these parts, but the 32X tech video Scavenger put together was pretty neat. Sucks that no games really approached what they showed it was capable of.

  6. I had about 10 games for mine. The average quality of 32X software was actually pretty good, but it was just doomed from the start.
Shadow Squadron and Virtua Fighter were the most impressive games on the system, After Burner and Space Harrier were awesome ports, and MKII is still the best non-emulated console version.
Metal Head had potential, but the draw distance is brutal.

  8. While the dino is away we will play.

I don't think the afterburner kit threw Nintendo in a panic, but I am sure it gave them some idea of what people wanted in the revision.

I got mine for $20 when Toys R' Us was clearing them out. I only have about 8 titles for the little shroom, with Star Wars Arcade and Space Harrier being my favorites.
