I find the evolution of right wing talk on CC to be fascinating. It started with "not happening" and then went to "it's happening but not our fault and nothing we can do about it" and now it's "not happening and anyone who says it is is a communist trying to destroy America.

Still I don't think anyone, right or left, is willing to sacrifice anything to "reverse" the issue so that's why nothing is going to change.

I don't disagree with you. It's just depressing because there's no foothold into any of that I can see.

Tens of thousands of letters pleading to the inner morality/integrity of a journalist will do nothing because money because it's what the people want.

Trying to change the course of the people in any way - and I'm not saying the attempts so far have been subtle or without judgment - is met with criticism of "liberal elitism!" You can't appeal to their kinder natures because they take any suggestion to assess themselves as an attack.

This was engineered down the line, but it's not like we can go back and unengineer it. Honestly, the only way is a big war.
