lol my thought too.
Anyway it is CURRENT YEAR. Does an ancient console need a massive amount of titles to be thought of as worthwhile?
My point is that if I had $300 or whatever in 2001 I would have been a lot happier with a PS2 than a Cube. But the Cube had some good stuff, don't hate.
It's not even close. The console has over 600 titles. It's my 2nd favorite Nintendo console behind the SNES.

Most of what I'd listed are in my current GC collection. Chaos Field is okay.
I could have listed Fire Emblem and SSBM, but I've never played them on the console. There's also Beyond Good and Evil, though I have that on PS2 for some reason.

Yeah, if I was poor and could only have one system that Gen it would absolutely be PS2. Thankfully, I was ballin and had all three.
Yeah, PS2 was the obvious choice and the console I had 1st of those 3. I didn't get an Xbox until @2003. The GameCube was the only one of the group that I got around launch, while I waited for the GT3 bundle before getting a PS2, since I was still ballin' heavy with the Dreamcast.

Since when? The left stick was non-grip convex, the c-stick was the worst analog stick of any controller since the Atari 5200, there was one less button than Sony and MS controllers, and the d-pad was hot garbage. The only thing it had going for it was the extra buttons inside the two main shoulder buttons, and even Nintendo quickly forgot those were there.
The unique layout of the face buttons was interesting, but I would never pick it over a PS2 or S controller.
