Brady is the slowest runner on the field. He didn't have a second gear to stretch out for that pass.
The Eagles would have had a much bigger lead, if not for that tipped interception at the Pat's 5 yard line.

He purposely let the ball shift into his arm. He would have fumbled it if he landed with it pinned to his chest. I believe they looked at it like a shift from the left arm to the right and the player stepping out of bounds as they did so.
