The few that haven't committed suicide have admitted that much? Didn't the guy that did the mass shooting in Australia that got most guns banned there all but admit that he did it as a copy cat and to get attention?

Reducing guns in circulation would probably help, but American values are at odds with that nanny state (socialist) idea.

Americans accept "nanny state" ideas: smoking laws, seat belt laws, not being able to legally drink alcohol until you have been an adult for multiple years, dry counties, etc.. The only difference is those aren't in their constitution.

I don't understand how a small group of religious idiots can get major media outlets to harass entertainers I like, sometimes putting them out of a god damn job, but the huge amount of people against guns and gun violence can't coordinate to get major media outlets to stop making celebrities out of murderers.

Anger and hatred are usually about control. It's a toxic cocktail of "I know better" and resentment over no one acknowledging that. Usually there's some kind of negative event that triggers this kind of shit.

If you've ever been broken up with unexpectedly you've felt that feels. You're shit, the world is shit, nothing matters, no one cares. These things, to me, reek of "suicide by cop" with a side of arrogant "the world owes me something" before pulling the trigger. Of course things matter, and you both matter and don't matter depending on context. These people did indeed matter on these days. Their faces are all over the news.

I think it should be stated again that violent crime is way way down, and handguns kill more people than these sensationalist killing spree's. Lets keep it in perspective.

What would need to be done in order to get the media in line is a mass boycott. The only way to get America to stop doing anything is to fuck with its money, or at least threaten to.
