Thread: The 2018 NFL Season.

  1. McCarthy would have finished the season had they won. But losing to a shit team like the Cards in Lambeau in Dec is a travesty. They had to fire him now. Sadly the NFC is 95% trash and having an off season should’ve still got this team in the Playoffs.

  2. There was no way the Packers were getting in the playoffs. Maybe if they had beat Arizona, they could have made it to 8-8 at best. The rumblings about McCarthy doing a shitty job of coaching was all over the sports talk shows for the past month and the question wasn't if he was going to be fire, but when it was going to happen. The Packers just don't have any depth on offense and it showed pretty much in the past 6 weeks when you'd see the Packers' offense fade away in the 2nd half of games. A little bit of innovative offensive play calling in the 2nd half of games could have helped, but the coaching staff just didn't put any effort into it.

  3. 8-8 at best? If they played well they could’ve won the last five games. It’s a fairly easy stretch. 10-5-1 and a wild card spot was reachable. Had they won today they would’ve only been a game back.

Edit- yeah 9-6-1. I was thinking before the Seattle loss. Fucking Seattle. Fucking Seahawks, fuck you Joust

They would have been a 1 win back from the Vikings and Washington (both teams beat the Packers and would win the tie-breaker) and 2 games back from Seattle for the Wild Card. Their wins were against sub .500 teams and they pulled off a win against Chicago by 1 point at home. Randall Cobb has pretty much disappeared and their running game was pretty much non-existent. I've been rooting for Green Bay all season, but I already knew there was no way they were making the playoffs after the abysmal performance they had over the last 5 weeks.

  6. They still could’ve had a small chance had they won. Easier last few games and the teams ahead of them have a more difficult finish. But it’s good they lost. Team needs to be blown up. There’s a lot of bad to fix. Cobb should’ve been dumped over Nelson. The wide receivers are highly overrated IMO. They are rarely open. But that could have a lot to do with the play calling too. We shall see. They have a TON of things to fix.

  7. fun fact

in Pete Carroll's 9 years, Seattle has been involved in a score that had never been accomplished before in NFL history, and they are 9-0 in those games

    2010: Seahawks 36 Cardinals 18
    2011: Seahawks 36 Giants 25
    2012: Seahawks 58 Cardinals 0
2013: Seahawks 43 Broncos 8 (Super Bowl champions!)
    2014: Seahawks 36 Packers 16
    2015: Seahawks 39 Steelers 30
    2016: Seahawks 37 49ers 18
    2017: Seahawks 46 Colts 18
    2018: Seahawks 43 49ers 16

  8. Is that the 12th game of every season?

  9. The Redskins can't catch a break (no pun intended). Colt McCoy fractured his fibula and they are now left with Mark Sanchez.

  10. If football god is willing, may we see Butt Fumble Part Deux.
