It's shockingly good.

As if Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger got together with A Link to the Past and pretended to be scallops wrapped in bacon and glazed with sugar. (I'm not sure which game is which role.)
Add a dusting of bullet-hell, a feint call to MGS-style text convos, a diverse and extremely well written and funny cast. Cover in bloody gorgeous pixel art and refined, responsive controls. Package with a fast, functional UI and an addictive sense of progression. Oh, and an intriguing setup, to boot.
I understand this was 7 years in the making, but I've just heard of it, and now I've dumped nearly 20 hours into it this weekend. I haven't done that with a game since... I don't really know. I know for sure I haven't even put 20 hours into an RPG since the PSX days.
So yeah, thus this thread. Check it out.

I played the demo before but it ran crappy on my computer. It seemed to have potential, though.
