I understand the appeal of Bond, but it's very a specifically a patriarchal fantasy kind of appeal. You're saving the world because YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE, you drink some nice martinis, get a fancy car, have fun, gamble, go to fancy dinner parties, somebody talks back to you smack 'em in the mouth and if they're a girl, you kiss 'em afterwards. Also, gadgets!

Goldeneye was the only Bond movie I really got in to. Brosnan's others were terrible. Craig has been OK. Casino Royale and Skyfall were pretty great. Quantum of Solace was mostly boring (but not bad), and Spectre (the latest) was terrible. I've watched a few Sean Connery ones back when I was a kid and I liked them, but have a hard time taking them seriously now.
