Neo-Geo 2 & new Metal Slug.

SNK is actually readying a Neo-Geo 2 console after its impressive sales of Neo-Geo Mini. NG2 is not related to the Mini, but it's planned as a followup to the original Neo. While it will have some built-in games, you'll be able to buy more. There will be a NG3 later.

A new Metal Slug is being worked on. I can't see 2D happening for this. If it's another Metal Slug 3D like the one on PS2... then forget it, no thanks! Metal Slug 8 in 2.5D (something like Dolphin Blue) would be fine.
King of Fighters XV is lined up for 2020 & (no surprise) will use UE4.

That SNK would make a NG2 doesn't really make much sense to me, actually. They've already got NesicaXLive 2 for an arcade platform (the new Samurai Spirits' arcade version goes there like KOF XIV did), & PS4/X1/PC for the home.
Now a tabletop Mini with a higher price point ($200-250), larger screen, & full size controls wouldn't be too bad.
