Thank you, happy new year.
God, am I glad this place still exists.
I stop in every few years to see who still visits and posts. I tend to be too busy to do much other than rattle off a few posts and then disappear again.
All of you, thanks for keeping this place alive. It was my only form of social life in my early twenties in some ways. Sure, I had church groups and work, but I didn't have a lot of folks I could actually talk to about things that were important to me.
Like coming home to the small town I grew up in, it's nice to know that somethings stay familiar even while changing with age and experience.
Since I started posting here, I've gone to college, made a couple of iOS games, got married, bought a house, clawed myself out of debt, bought 38 acres of land to start a farm, got into healthcare management, turned down a 6 figure job to work in a small town with less than 900 people, started raising honeybees. I'm planning on building arcade cabinets and an arcade in the city I'm moving to. Not kidding.
Point is, even with all of that stuff that happened, I still come back to this place to see who's keeping the flame burning. It's a part of my past and I'm so thankful to all of you for keeping it going.
Happy new year; if any of you ever make your way through Minnesota, let me know. I'd be happy to host you or buy you a drink. I will make fun of you if you order shit drinks. Email is my xbox live name at google's email.
Thanks again, be well.
