There's some emergent gameplay, but not enough. It's interesting that Rockstar's mastered that formula for going on 2 decades now while other devs really struggle to get it right.

When I fire off a few rounds near civilians in a crowded area, I expect NCPD to descend with MaxTac in a proportionate response but that never really happens. Most of the emergent stuff feels orchestrated.

I do like how you have to have Body 8 to jack a car and Tech 8 to break into a NCPD squad car - forces some neat character building choices.

The stealth in this game, coupled with the hacking, isn't half bad. I think the key as I discovered last night is to use both aggressively - Reset Optics is a godsend.

I also had my first hard crash last night. Luckily it was during a cutscene so I didn't lose too much.

The police system is very half-assed, more like Oblivion than GTA. This game isn't a good GTA. But it is pretty good at giving you a lot of ways to tackle a scenario and sometimes interesting consequences as a result. It's scratching that immersive sim itch better than I thought it would.

  3. Anyone else having issues with equipping their gear, like jacket and boots?

I go to the backpack, equip my boots and jacket, yet I'm still seeing my feet without shoes, my upper torso wrapped in bandages and another bandage on my head. Is it just a bug, or am I not really wearing the gear?

    *Edit

Okay, I figured out what was wrong, and it's kind of stupid that the game defaulted you to that. There's a choice for a special suit, which turned out to be my raggedy body bandage setup. I had to remove that, for my other equipped outfit to showup.

Panam isn't too hard on the eyes, but when I was riding in the car with her, she turned into demon girl. Her eyes were glowing white. Man this game is buggy!

  4. I really haven't encountered an extraordinary number of bugs. A handful, mostly minor animation glitches, but no more than I experienced playing Spider-Man Miles Morales, and no one really complained about that game. I doubt anyone would be complaining about it too much if A) reviewers were playing it in the state it's in now and B) the console ports were in a similar state.

Panam is bae, but she shot down my advances.

  5. Yesterday I encountered an invisible person drinking Champagne and while driving, V appeared naked above the car for a brief second. And of course, Panam’s glowing white eyes.

The biggest glitch I got was one I got was on a mission with Panam after dying and reloading the checkpoint save, I would spawn inside of her while she was driving. Like I could see the back of her eyes and teeth in front of me. Happened every time I reloaded that save (which was a lot because I was underleveled for that fight and died like 5 times). Didn't affect gameplay though.

Witcher 3 and Skyrim had this kind of stuff too. It's mostly just aesthetic, nothing game-breaking.

  10. Just a quick update.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been pulled and de-listed from the PlayStation store. To top it off, Sony is offering 100% full refunds on this game as well to anyone who bought it digitally.

Fucking hell CDPR really, really fucked up by bringing this out on consoles in the state it was. They should have just fucking made this a PC only release at the time, made their money off that and used that extra time to work out this game being able to run on the original base PS4 and Xbox One.

Way to go CDPR. You had a great reputation and you fucking blew it with this.

I was going to buy this game for my Xbox One X but fuck that noise. It can sit in piles on the store shelves next to Fallout 76. Fucking dumbasses.
